Description

Summary of Responsibilities:

Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, or providing information to callers. As well as assisting the Health Director in duties such as keeping a working calendar, scheduling appointments and any other duties assigned.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide organizational support to the director through scheduling appointments while maintaining the administrative calendar.
  • Institute and maintain efficient filing system for administrative office
  • Examine and maintain a well-organized record-keeping system to provide accurate and timely staff information while upholding confidentiality requirements.
  • Track annual staff performance appraisals and notify director/supervisor 30 days prior to due date.
  • Work in collaboration with director regarding the Cost Allocation Plan to ensure compliance.
  • Serve as a receptionist for the Behavioral Health Building as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all information pertaining to patients, co-workers and self in accordance with the departmental confidentiality policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum educational requirement of a High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of one (1) year reception/office experience.
  • Experience working with purchase orders, order management and state/tribal/federal funds preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of culturally diverse populations and their needs.
  • Strong computer skills including keyboarding skills, computer literacy and familiarity with various applications such a database, word processing, email and internet.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
  • Ability to respond appropriately (both mentally and physically) to an emergency or a crisis situation.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License and Insurance
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 6 months of employment.
