Connestee Falls is a mature master planned residential community and a semi-private country club in Brevard, NC operated by its residents under the Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA). Our residents share a vision for preserving the amazing natural environment while nurturing great relationships. The community features a championship golf course, a state-of-the-art wellness center, pools, a tennis center, pickleball center, bocce ball courts, and a newly renovated 26,000 sf Overlook Clubhouse with restaurants, lounge with full bar, banquet facilities and meeting spaces available for functions.

**General Statement of Duties:**
Connestee Falls Property Owners Association (CFPOA) is a semi-private members club located in Brevard, NC that offers a championship George Cobb designed golf course for exceptional play at 3,500 feet. Our year-round 18-hole mountain golf course within the Connestee Falls community offers a perfect golf experience with challenging greens, beautiful layout, scenic views and abundant wildlife. Our Operator Laborer is a key member of our Golf Course Maintenance staff. This position is primarily responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the golf course to keep the course in good working condition year-round.
**Essential Duties:**
* Operates mowing equipment to cut greens, tees, fairways, roughs and common areas.
* Operates handheld equipment such as: weed eaters, fly mowers, hedge trimmers, sprayers, seed spreaders, chainsaws and blowers.
* Operates equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
* Changes cups and tee markers as needed.
* Removes ball marks and repairs divots that make depression marks on the greens, tees and fairways as needed.
* Edges, rakes and or maintains ball washers, water hazards, bunkers and cart paths.
* Trims trees, prunes shrubbery, and cultivates shrubs and flowers.
* Grades and prepares a soil plant bed, lays sod, lays mulch, plants and pulls weeds in bed.
* Assists with the maintenance and repair of artificial turf.
* Assists with the seasonal aeration, top dressing and/or deep dethatching of the greens.
* Assists with identifying pests to prevent damage to landscapes and golf course.
* Reports any damage or malfunctioning of irrigation equipment and components including, but not limited to, electrical system, sprinkler heads, pumps, pump station components, and piping to supervisor immediately.
* Reports any damage or malfunctioning of mowing equipment and components including, but not limited to, mowers, edgers, trimmers and personal protective equipment (PPE) to supervisor immediately.
* Reports any damage or malfunctioning of golf carts or company property to supervisor immediately.
* Assists in construction of new greens, tees, and fairways by grading, preparing soil and planting as needed.
* Monitors golf course grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
* Maintains cleanliness of Golf Course Maintenance building and equipment.
* Removes snow and is responsible for maintenance of ice management during winter season.
Emergency Management Responsibilities:
During emergency conditions, all Golf Course Maintenance employees are automatically considered emergency service workers. Golf Course Maintenance employees are subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, snow and ice storms or other emergency situation and are expected to perform emergency service duties, as assigned.

**Work Schedule:**
Position is part-time seasonal. Weekly shift averages 20-25 hours a week and may exceed during peak season. Shift typically begins at 7:30am and requires working every other weekend. Hours of operation may change at any time with or without notice at managements discretion and due to weather conditions. During emergency situations, work shift may exceed 10 hours a day.

**Candidate Qualifications**
**Minimum Qualifications:**
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Minimum of 1 year experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping maintenance preferred.
* Must possess a valid state of NC drivers license.
* Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the company, staff, community members and outside vendors.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced and safety sensitive environment.
* Must be detail oriented.
* Must be well-organized and self-directed individual with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet time sensitive deadlines.
