**What You Will Do:**

PCSF is looking for a Buyer I to manage the purchasing activity for both the Crowley facility and all extended field locations. This position will cover both PCSF & Harbison-Fischer indirect supply chain activities co-located within the Crowley, TX facility. This position will be primarily tactical but will assist Supply Chain leadership, both locally and at the ChampionX level, to gather information and facilitate strategic decisions that will take advantage of extended supplier relationships across multiple OPCOs. An ideal candidate will be someone that can work in a fast-paced environment, be very organized and able to work well under pressure. This buyer will work directly with the field locations to issue purchase orders in accordance with our purchasing and accounting guidelines, work with accounting & finance to clear any invoice discrepancies and utilize a continuous improvement mindset in day to day tasks to reduce payment blocks. A candidate must possess intermediate to advanced excel skills and be able to use most of the Office Suite programs. Attention to detail is an absolute must. This entry level position requires basic purchasing knowledge including the components of a purchase order, how to determine optimal stocking levels with current lead times, basic negotiation tactics when working with suppliers to obtain the best overall package for the company when comparing pricing, quality and delivery metrics.

* Tactical buyer tasks - Procures inventory and supplies, places purchase orders with vendors

* Prepares and presents recommendations of improvement opportunities and alternative courses of action to purchasing leaders

* Consistently applies purchasing policies, procedures, and processes

* Conducts minor contract negotiations. Gathers information and provides input on larger contracts

* Manages loading and retrieving of legal and compliance documents into applicable storage systems.

* Maintains import/export compliance

* Assists in the process of interviewing and evaluating sales representatives and vendors

* Provides data and market intelligence to the purchasing team

* Interacts with suppliers with regards to payments and order fulfillment

* Maintains confidentiality of all matters

* Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent

* Advanced Excel skills

* 2+ years of relevant experience

* Good oral and written communication skills

* Skilled analytical skills

* Good organizational and time management skills

* Proven negotiation skills

* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (primarily Excel)

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* 2+ years of purchasing experience preferred in an energy sector

* Experience with machine shop or fabrication shop

**Physical Demands:**

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
