We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our website platform's production environment. This role involves overseeing our cloud infrastructure, system administration, and collaborating closely with various teams to identify and resolve issues promptly. The ability to communicate effectively is crucial, as you will be working alongside both technical and non-technical team members to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to fix and improve systems.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention time on any tasks.
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Ensure critical system security through the use of best in class cloud security solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in a DevOps engineer role or similar.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration.
• Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef).
• Proficient with git and git workflows.
• Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, as is familiarity with Oracle).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and the management of serverless environments.
• Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
