A&P Aircraft Mechanic - Learjet 60


Job Details

We are a fast-growing Part 135 On-Demand Charter Operation searching for an A&P Mechanic qualified in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65 Part D, with experience specifically associated with the Bombardier Learjet 60 airframe.


We re looking for a motivated A&P Mechanic to perform all phases of inspection, routine scheduled & unscheduled maintenance, and the completion of time-compliance items in accordance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, aircraft manufacturer specifications and guidelines established by the FAA.


The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience working with Learjet aircraft preferably. We re looking for a team member with exceptional leadership qualities, a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills.


Ultimately, our candidate will possess the following licenses/skills:

  • Valid Airframe & Powerplant License
  • Basic understanding of CFR Part 145 repair station operations
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • FCC license preferred, but not required


Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain the operating condition of Learjet 60 assemblies
  • Troubleshooting and performance of repairs to airframe components, engines and a variety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs to other aircraft accessories, such as: starters, generators, fuel pumps, hydraulic pumps actuators, wheels, tires, and brakes. Learjet 60 (Pratt & Whitney 305) engine run qualified a plus!
  • Perform routine time compliance and phase inspections in accordance with FAA & industry standards
  • Structural repair to airframes including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, fiberglass repair, and limited painting
  • Ensure that all repairs are accomplished via approved methods and techniques and in compliance with the specifications set forth by the manufacturer in service manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other data approved by the FAA Administrator
  • Must be willing to work overtime and assist in resolving AOG discrepancies
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve, manage projects, collaborate in a team setting
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.


Requirements:

  • Ability to pass drug screening test, background check and possess a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance manuals
  • Capability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs., and work outside as necessary
  • Comfortability with climbing and working from ladders, work stands, and other elevated surfaces.
  • Willingness to work off-location and weekends, as necessary
