Education Some College Coursework Completed Category Interior Design Job Description Hoefer Welker is looking for talented and motivated entry-level seasonal Interior Design candidates to join our team this summer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Perform elementary architectural assignments and work from designs of others

* Assist in compiling data for architectural plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.

* Assist in the preparation of contract drawings for new and alteration projects

* Assist in conducting preliminary studies to obtain information as to space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary to the preparation of contract drawings

* Assist in the preparation of design development drawings

* Perform basic analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies and limited design layouts.

* Research, gather, and record information for use in writing specifications

Job Requirements Candidate must be a traditional or non-traditional student, currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in the field of Interior Architecture or Interior Design who has completed 2 or more years in the program. A creative design portfolio is required.

Qualifications:

The proper candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, teamwork, presentation and organizational skills. Maintains cooperative working relationships, internally and externally, and possesses entrepreneurial spirit and has forward thinking attitude. Proficient with Revit and other computer design programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Google Sketchup8 and 3D rendering are desired.

Physical Demands:

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate a keyboard or computer mouse. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision.
