Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a healthcare facility based in Peterborough, NH. As a pivotal member of the healthcare team, the Certified Medical Assistant will support healthcare professionals by executing clinical procedures under direct supervision. This vital role encapsulates patient care, medical record maintenance, and ensuring that healthcare facilities operate efficiently. Key Qualifications:
- Valid ARC BLS certification/license mandated by the American Red Cross
- Completed High school / GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification/license
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the healthcare industry supplemented by a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or equivalent training
- Additional 3 years of practical experience as a Medical Assistant in a relevant healthcare environment will be advantageous.
Primary Duties:
- Execution of blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within the MA certification scope.
- Aid healthcare professionals during examinations by measuring blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
- Commit to maintaining cleanliness and adequacy of supplies in rooms.
- Efficiently handle and return patient phone calls as directed.
- Disseminate physician-led instructions to patients.
- Proactively requisition supplies to maintain a well-stocked environment.
- Assist in maintaining medical records, inclusive of filling referral forms, lab slips, and other documentation as needed.
- Provide patient support while transitioning to and from exam rooms, prepping for exams, and during procedures.
- Support nursing procedures as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability as per the organization's needs.
Work Schedule:
Full-time day shift position with a Monday to Friday schedule. This opening focuses on Family Care or Internal Medicine needs.
