Position Summary & Highlights:

* $1500 Sign On Bonus offered to external candidates!

* This MA position will primarily support the brand new Infectious Disease outpatient clinic provider team which includes three Physicians, Locums staff, a dedicated RN and another MA.

* The Saint Alphonsus Infectious Disease team treats individuals experiencing bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic infections to provide an extra layer of support and care in this specific area.

What You Will Do:

* You will help care for a wide variety of infections and patient situations.

* In addition to typical MA duties, you will work with high acuity patients and may perform wound care, injections, immunizations, med refills, patient calls and triage, and assisting with minor procedures and healthcare assessments when needed.

* We are seeking colleagues who enjoy talking with patients and learning new skills and diseases.

* An ideal candidate will have a high level of critical thinking and problem solving, strong sense of urgency due to patients' acuity level, strong multi-tasking skills and can work at any pace.

* You will also be team-oriented, have a positive and easy-going attitude, is compassionate and dependable, and enjoys learning!

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays, around the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, based on clinic needs.

Locations:

* Boise Clinic: 1055 N. Curtis Road (on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus (I-184 and Curtis Road)).

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required.

* MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

* American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

* American Medical Technologists (RMA)

* National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

* National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

* American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

* Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

* For new MA graduates, minimum of 100 hour externship or MA work experience is required.
