The position is based in our suburban Chicago (Highland Park) office. The ideal candidate should be extremely detailed, organized and knowledgeable in Excel.

  • Bachelor s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-5 years experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role

Our Highland Park, Illinois office in the northern suburbs is seeking an energetic, responsible, detail-oriented candidate for this newly created Administrative Assistant position to join our growing organization. We are a family-owned consumer products company. Our focus is on high-end, hip products that fill a niche in the market. The company has a long successful track record dating back to 1999; with offices in New York, Chicago (Highland Park), Atlanta, London and Ireland.

Prospective candidates must have at least a bachelor s degree, be extremely organized, detailed, computer-literate (with a focus on Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Outlook) and have exceptional written & oral communication skills. In addition, the Candidate should be a self-starter and have the ability to take a project from the inception stage to final execution with little supervision.

The role and responsibilities of this newly created Administrative Assistant position is to provide support for the CEO, COO and a senior manager. Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • The potential candidate should be extremely comfortable and knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office program - Excel.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized filing process for our new product development procedures
  • Packing samples & ensuring packages are picked up by FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.
  • Arranging messenger pick up or delivery
  • Organizing and ordering shipping supplies (boxes, bubble wrap)
  • Keeping office organized and in a neat and clean environment
  • Significant opportunity to interact and work with all departments within the company
  • Input, create and interpret data obtained from market research / surveys to produce results useful in making effective business decisions
  • Contact potential customers through emails, telephone, etc.
  • Establish good working relationships and rapport with clients
  • Research new product ideation and competitive information
  • Very proficient with computer programs such as outlook, excel, word, powerpoint, etc.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well organized and detailed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple tasks
