Hunter Davies is seeking an exceptional Outside Sales Business Development professional to lead business development and sales strategies for our client's innovative Engineered Gas Control Solution portfolio, who is focused on the Hydrogen industry. The ideal candidate will be based in Houston, Texas, and will play a pivotal role in spearheading the adoption of hydrogen solutions across various applications i.e. Pipelines, Production, Purification, Reforming, Pressure Control, Compression & Storage mainly across the Gulf Coast of the US.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and market share growth plans to meet booking targets and achieve annual goals across the Hydrogen industry.
  • Implement short, medium and long term business development strategies focused on commercial and technical market adaptations across the US.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to identify new opportunities, understand customer needs, and establish strong relationships within the Hydrogen sector from the ground up.
  • Manage long-term sales forecasts and performance measurement systems to ensure sales objectives are met, particularly in relation to hydrogen-related products and services.
  • Coordinate internally with sales and application engineering teams to drive business growth and expansion in the Hydrogen market.
  • Deliver technical presentations and represent the company at trade association meetings to promote hydrogen-related products and services, highlighting their applications across various industries.
  • Gather market intelligence to drive improvements in sales, marketing, and product development, with a focus on emerging trends and opportunities in the Hydrogen sector.
  • Identify and quantify potential solutions for customers, including product line expansions and new market opportunities within the Hydrogen industry.
  • Collaborate with the front-line sales team to move hydrogen-related opportunities to closure.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and manage opportunity pipelines effectively, with a specific emphasis on hydrogen-related projects and initiatives.


Preferred Experience, Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must reside in Houston, Texas, or surrounding Gulf Coast region of the US.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales or customer-facing commercial sales positions, preferably in the Flow Control technology industry with a passion for renewable energy verticals.
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience working with Flow Control Solutions i.e. Engineered Valves & Automation Equipment, Pneumatics, Vacuum Solutions, PFA Components, Engineered Pumps, Purification Technologies, Compressor Machinery, Measurement Instrumentation or Automation component solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Hydrogen market experience across the US.
  • Proficiency in project sales fundamentals, business development, and strategic selling, with a track record of success in negotiating commercial contracts and developing strategic sales plans.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or adjacent engineering, business-related field, or equivalent experience is a bonus.

Compensation and benefits:

  • Expected compensation for this position is in the range of $125-150K USD base salary with OTE bonus potential, Company Vehicle Stipend and career growth opportunities
