JOBSUMMARY

Matheson Gas, Inc. is seeking an Area Sales Representative to join our team.

The AreaSales Representative "ASR" is responsible for all sales and growth aspects ofthe dry ice business in their assigned territory. The ASR works crossfunctionally with our branches and production to supply dry ice safely andreliably to all of our customers. We are looking for highly motivated SalesProfessional with the ability to sell value who understands that results donot just happen. The position is also responsible for customerservice, which includes maintaining current customers as well as developingnew customers while working closely with the other regions in the US andacross our business entities.

Target Salary: $65k base pluscommission and auto allowance (OTE $105k+)
Territory: Home office based covering the Southern Florida market.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Meet and exceed corporateobjectives for safety and profitable growth within assigned territory.
  • Use computer software to obtain,place and log outbound calls to new business prospects.
  • Prepare and submit accurate andtimely reports.
  • Effectively manage travel expensesand meet individualized training requirements.
  • Comply with company policies insafety, administration and quality.
  • Prepare quotes, bids and contractsfor signature.
  • Cultivate customer relationships by developing a deepknowledge of customer's business and establishing a consultativerelationship.
  • Negotiate new and existing renewal agreements with thecustomer.
  • Drive profitable growth of thebusiness by working with the commercial regions, product management andcontract administration.
  • Portfoliomanage by gaining feedback from different groups in the organization.
  • Coordinatecommunication and support between our customers and prospects from Matheson.
  • Providefirst line product and application support to customers and prospects.
  • Assistin accounts receivable as necessary.
  • Promote"add-on" offerings from Matheson during the business process.
  • Partnerwith internal resources to accomplish growth objectives.
  • Leadclear and consistent communication with internal departments relative tocustomer success, opportunity details, development processes and other customerinformation.
  • Manages contract lifecycles (price reviews, quarterlybusiness reviews and volume reviews).
  • Supports customer activities, new businessacquisition, contract negotiations and customer service requirements.
  • Maintains opportunities,contact data and professional sales callsin CRM (SFDC/Dynamics).
  • Keepscurrent with industry insights, monitors competition by gathering currentmarketplace data.
  • Identifiescross-selling opportunities and leads the hand-off to other team members.
  • Submitcomplete business packages to contract administration group for processing.
  • Otherduties as assigned.

  • Ability to speak effectively, present informationand respond to questions before groups of customers, clients, managers oremployees of organization.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaintsfrom customers, employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the businesscommunity.

Mathematical Skills

Abilityto apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry such as fractions,percentages, ratios, volume and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
