Litigation Paralegal

Job Details

Well known plaintiff's personal injury law firm seeks litigation paralegal for immediate opening. Only candidates with prior personal injury experience will be considered for this position. Federal court and or maritime law background is a plus. Bi-lingual applicants are preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate should posses the following qualities:

• Handling all types of personal injury claims from initial client intake through trial.
• Experience litigating all aspects of personal injury cases in both state and federal court.
• Experience drafting and filing basic court pleadings, preparing discovery, requesting and reviewing medical records.
• Experience requesting, negotiating and summarizing medical records, medical bills and health insurance liens
• Working knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude
• Paralegal certificate (preferred)
• Bi-lingual candidates (preferred)
• Maritime experience is a plus
