The Department of Natural Sciences at Vermont State University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Physical Science for the academic year 2024-2025. The successful candidate will teach introductory Chemistry and Physics courses at the Johnson and Lyndon campuses and have opportunities to teach advanced courses in their area of expertise. Students taking our introductory chemistry and physics courses come from diverse programs including Atmospheric Science, Biology, Environmental Science, and Exercise Science. A Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or a closely related field is preferred, and teaching experience is highly valued.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will have earned a Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, or other closely related areas and should have previous teaching experience is highly valued.

Salary

Based on qualifications and experience as defined by VSC-VSCFF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
