This position involves contributing to the development and implementation of best practices, strategies, policies, and processes to enhance operational performance. Responsibilities include participating in new business initiatives, ensuring compliance with IATF standards, collaborating on global quality management system initiatives, maintaining relevant procedures, addressing customer complaints, training others on quality systems, conducting audits, managing quality personnel, setting department objectives, leading health, safety, and environmental activities, and overseeing quality budgets.


Contributes to establishing and implementing best practices, strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational performance.

Contributes to new business initiatives and projects, assessing their impact on quality standards.

Ensures compliance with IATF standards throughout departments.

Participates in global Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives with other company sites.

Implements and maintains all relevant procedures outlined in the QMS to ensure compliance.

Updates, revises, and modifies in-house systems and procedures to meet internal and external requirements.

Addresses customer complaints using problem-solving tools and customer portals.

Updates quality documentation and shares lessons learned from quality concerns.

Ensures systems and procedures are in place to meet customer requirements and audits.

Trains others on the quality system and how to apply procedures.

Conducts internal and process audits of the QMS.

Manages the QMS Coordinator, Quality Engineers, and Technicians in resolving quality concerns. Establishes and refines quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation.

Reports on quality and safety metrics on a monthly basis.

Collaborates with the Supplier Quality function to minimize the impact of non-conforming supplier materials.

Sets department objectives/KPIs and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Leads Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities.


Skill Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, strong leadership and communication skills, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, familiarity with automotive core tools, experience with lab equipment, and the ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers.
