Description
GEOEKON Swiss Precision Turning (GSPT) is a precision machine shop operating with approximately 20 dedicated staff members. GSPT is known for providing high-quality parts and components to various industries, including medical, aerospace, geotechnical, and optical. We operate with machines such as CNC Swiss Screw Machines, CNC Lathe Machines, and CNC Milling Machines, and wea are ISO 9001:2015 certified with TUV Rheinland of North America1.
GSPT is looking for a Machinist to work primarily on our Swiss Lathe machines. The Machinist will produce high precision parts for both internal and external customers and ensure effective production operation and optimize process and procedures.
- Plan machining to specifications of job, drawings and material
- Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances
- Programs lathes according to prints
- Loads machine by lifting stock into position
- Verifies setting by measuring positions, first run part and adjusting accordingly
- Record daily production data
- Reponsible for cleaning and maintenance of machines
- May operate more than one machine at a time
- Monitor product quality and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement
Requirements
- High School Diploma -Required
- 1- 3 years of Swiss Lathe experience - strongly preferred
- Family with computer numerical control (CNC)
- Math skills for precise measurements and calculations
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
