LOCATION: Mount Vernon, OH, USA
Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to grow yourcareer with an amazing company?Ariel is looking for a Buyer to join ourteam.In this position, you would be responsible for supporting the procurement& purchasing process of raw materials and finished goods by working withboth internal and external customers. Working with the Supply Chain team, youwould evaluate, plan, and source production inventory to meet Ariel's masterproduction schedule.Additionally, youwould build and maintain relationships with vendors, and negotiatepricing.Finally, you would be workingwithin SAP to routinely review and reconcile resource planning to adequatelysupport production needs. Experience within the manufacturing industry and dealingwith the purchase of steel and castings within the metals market is stronglydesired.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Materials Management, Supply Management, orrelated field of study required
- 5+ years of material management experience required, with APICScertification preferred
- Knowledge of procurement and inventory management principles required
- Advanced computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office programsrequired
- Previous experience purchasing steel or castings in the metals market preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Stronganalytical skills with knowledge of data analysis tools and reportingpreferred
- Experience utilizing ERP systems required;experience within SAP PLM, MM, and SD preferred
- Strong ability to foster business relationships with internal andexternal customers
