Job Description Summary:

Job Description:
**The Painter/Carpenter will assist guests with maintenance or other requests, identifying and correcting the problem. Responsibilities also include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance pertaining to ceiling, wall, and floor finishes. Position requires a minimum of 4+ years of experience.**
****QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE****
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Four years experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry is preferred.
* Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
* Ability to hang wallpaper.
* Ability to repair and paint drywall and other surfaces using rollers, brushes and spray gun.
* Ability to install tiles and grout.
* Ability to refinish woodwork requiring staining, varnishing, and lacquering.
****ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:****
* Resolves guest's problems and handles all guest requests.
* Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplished assigned work orders and does all necessary repairs.
* Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner.
* Responsible for correct use of office equipment, EMS system and Life Safety Systems, (training provided).
* Painting and re-painting.
* Woodwork touchup.
* Hanging wallpaper.
* Installing tiles and grouting.
* Identifying and matching paint and stain colors.
* Assisting Carpenter in construction and repair of carpentry items.
****MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:****
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
****ENVIRONMENT:****
Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside possible in inclement weather. Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc.
