The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales within a specified region of the company. The Sales Manager sets local and regional sales quotas, manages sales support staff and representatives, and advises company about sales performance.
**Duties and responsibilities**
* Direct distribution of bridge cranes of 20 tons and under.
* Develop and follow up on business leads.
* Cold call, direct email, and perform other lead generation activities.
* Set sales quotas.
* Manage existing accounts, obtain new accounts.
* Write proposals and quotes for new business.
* Develop scripts.
* Maintain contact with dealers and distributors.
* Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and to monitor customers' preferences.
* Ensure customer satisfaction.
* Travel to different locations to make sales calls.
* Arrange for travel.
* Attend and preside over sales meetings.
* Maintain reports.
* Generate numbers for company to determine if sales goals have been met.
* Develop motivational material.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications include:
* HS diploma
* Sales experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in construction or engineering industries.
* Communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of Microsoft business applications.
**Working conditions**
* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
* Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
**Physical requirements**
* No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
* No or very limited physical effort required.
**Direct reports**
