JOB SUMMARY

As part of our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems to meet production needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Inspects and tests machinery/equipment using vision and hearing.
  • Provides all preventative maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Schedules preventative maintenance and needed repairs so as to minimize conflict with production needs.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts as needed.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Assist in the lay out, assembly, installation, and the maintaining of pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment under supervision.
  • Assists in the fabrication of fixtures, special tools, masking, baffles, workbenches, etc. for each individual process throughout the plant when needed.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures, as well as types of plumbing fixtures and systems.
  • Works without supervision.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to develop timelines and complete projects in a timely manner with minimal or no supervision.
  • Welding knowledge and ability.
  • Basic PC skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform basic rigging.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and similar equipment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose maintenance problems and establish corrective course of action, and can communicate information clearly to others.
  • Ability to read blue prints, interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals and specifications.
  • Ability to make sketches using dimensions.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and the seven basic tools involved in construction.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Strong verbal communication an interpersonal skills to work with departments, provide guidance and coordinate tasks with contractors.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of lean manufacturing.
  • Advanced shop math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Use of a calculator.
  • Knowledge of and experience using the metric system.
  • Ability to visualize how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
  • Adaptable to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, write, communicate and/or follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to communicate in English through voice, or American Sign Language or adaptive technology.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • AA degree in building/machinery maintenance; or 5-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a variety of experiences and in depth knowledge in areas such as mechanical, electrical, industrial controls, plumbing, HVAC and painting.

We have three lines of business; Aerospace Manufacturing, Aerospace Finishing, and Business Solutions, that operate in 3 locations. Salary Range: $30.00-$38.00
