The Wilcox Company, a family run Real Estate office in the Northcenter neighborhood, is looking for a full-time hourly receptionist/administrative assistant. We provide sales, property management, appraisals and more, to a variety of property types and neighborhoods in the Chicago area. We are looking for an integral member of our team to assist our growing business. Previous experience in real estate is helpful but not necessary. A willingness to learn what we do, to contribute to our success, is a must.

Days / Hours: Monday - Thurs, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fridays 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. No weekends. No holidays.

Health insurance, annual bonus, paid vacation available after onboard period.

Responsibilities:

Greet visitors and walk-ins; Answer, screen, and transfer calls; Take detailed messages

Scan, copy and file documents in hard copy and electronic files

Handle incoming/outgoing mail; faxing when necessary

Assist with coordination of maintenance requests and property access

Communicate information to tenants and vendors, as instructed

Assist with organizing office, setting up files for new properties, etc.

Property-related and vendor-related research, as needed

Prepare listings for display flyers and on multiple listing service sites

Assist with preparation of lease documentation for electronic signatures

Some data entry of basic invoices

Water plants and feed office lizard

Desired Skills:

Reception experience

Excellent customer-service orientation

Attention to detail

Self-motivated, works well independently and in a team

Strong communication (written / verbal)

Excellent organization and multi-tasking

Ability to prioritize, as well as take direction

Proficiency with computer programs, including Word and Excel; Internet-savvy

Accurate data entry

Prior real estate knowledge or interest in real estate

Sense of humor
