Essential Responsibilities

This is a materials handling position in support of the Erbe Medical Tempe site. Support the receipt, delivery, storage, and shipment of materials throughout the site.

  • Generate pick slips, labels, and other shipping/receiving documentation in order to process all domestic and international shipments.
  • Maintain awareness of customer requirements and work to fulfill them...meet all scheduled deliveries and prioritize the processing of all rush orders. Communicate with both internal and external customers.
  • Load and Unload trucks. Check for any shipping damage.
  • Process returns: RMA (Return Material Authorizations) and RTV (Returns To Vendor)
  • Manage the inventory/replenish the stock in the warehouse and at the manufacturing raw material kanban sites. Maintain FIFO (esp. Expiration Dating), perform inventory transactions, and conduct routine cycle counts in order to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform indirect labor tasks for manufacturing or other departments as required.
  • Perform general facility maintenance request
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Remain compliant with all Erbe Medical training procedures and with external guidelines [examples include OSHA (esp. 29 CFR 1910), DOT, and IATA].


Supervisory Responsibility

This position is an individual contributor and has no direct supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.This role routinely uses standard materials movement equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and materials cart. The position also interacts with machinery on the manufacturing floor, raw materials, work-in-process, and end items.

The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.The employee frequently is required to lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. 10-hour day shift Mon. - Thurs. with a 30 minute lunch. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires no measurable travel.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • 5+ years' warehouse/inventory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years' general facility maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literacy is required and prior experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • The ability to complete receiving, inventory, and shipping paperwork.
  • Medical device industry or regulated industry experience preferred.
