About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to lead our thriving practice as Medical Director!

About the Hospital

The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy working with a highly skilled and collegial staff, in a state of the art, fear-free 7,000+ square foot facility. In-house laboratory, digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray, portable ultrasound, surgical laser, therapy laser, online store and wellness plans are the latest updates to our continually growing practice.

Our new building, opened in May 2017, includes six exam rooms, a redesigned surgical suite with two tables, and expanded services including boarding, and daycare. The practice does treat exotics, but the incoming Veterinarian does not have to see exotics if they are not comfortable with them, as we have another Veterinarian that will see them.? Named after Benjamin Franklin and incorporated in 1814, Franklin, Ohio is a beautiful suburban community nestled along the banks of the Great Miami River. Residents of Franklin enjoy experiencing all four seasons in an area that perfectly blends outdoor amenities, quiet residential lifestyle, and modern amenities. Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate is someone who values community and diversity and is passionate about people and pets! This is a great opportunity for an experienced veterinarian with a desire to lead our practice. The incoming Veterinarian will be responsible for overseeing all professional services, implementing veterinary and patient care policies and procedures, licenses, and related matters, and will ultimately serve as Veterinarian in charge.



Qualifications:
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
