The Superintendent is critical to SEMA Construction s Field Operations team and involves oversight of projects. You will be tasked with leading a range of complex projects and be given the autonomy to manage them as you see fit, whilst being supported by your Project Manager, project teams, peers, and executive leaders. You will receive training and continued development to progress your career within the business long term.

Candidate Skills, Experience, and Background


  • Must have experience leading at least one (1) relevant project as a General Contractor from start to finish.
  • DOT (Department of Transportation.
  • Examples of required relevant project experience: Drainage, Bridges, Mass Earthwork, Electrical, Subsurface Utilities, Piping/Pipelines, Roadways, Highways, Concrete Flatwork and Structures, Curb and Gutter, Reservoirs and Dams, Rail, or Overall Heavy Civil/Horizontal projects.
  • Must have experience operating in a General Contracting capacity; understand and demonstrate capabilities of managing the nuances of a project including such things as: Project Administration, Cost Control, Design or Engineering Issue Resolution/Management, Client Management/ Relationship Management, Plan Reading, Scheduling etc.
  • Must be tech-savvy and be able to get easily trained on systems such as Primavera P6 and Viewpoint.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be capable and willing to manage people and teams; take gratification in being part of and leading a team, and embrace/thrive in the challenges this can produce.
  • Someone who is resilient and enjoys challenge.
  • Must be able to think on their feet, possess intellect & emotional intelligence, and can manage task experts including subcontractors and vendors.


This Role would be suitable for the following individual:


  • An experienced Superintendent or Construction Manager who has hit the glass ceiling in their current role and is looking for an opportunity to continue their career progression.
  • An experienced Superintendent or Construction Manager who may be managing smaller projects and is looking for the opportunity to lead a wider variety of larger more complex work.

Compensation and Benefits


  • Base Salary of $120,000 - $140,000
