The Internal Sales Consultant role is responsible for driving life insurance sales growth with targeted strategic partnerships and works closely with the designated Financial Professionals in their regions to drive overall sales. The individual will be directly supporting external marketers as an integral part of the sales team. This includes promoting, discussing life insurance opportunities, conducting educational training, sharing best practices, and promoting Ms products, services, and solutions to Financial Professionals and their Advisors. In this role, the individual will drive sales and work closely with the M Sales Support team to drive business from inception to close.

**Responsibilities:**

* Identify and help develop relationships with M Strategic Partners, M Financial Professionals, M Member Firms, and Financial Advisors

* Responsible for building new relationships with Financial Advisors to drive insurance planning within a territory as part of our dedicated strategic relationships team at M Financial

* Provide reactive and proactive sales ideas and training to Financial Advisors while educating the advisors on insurance products and the process to deliver life insurance solutions

* Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual activity and sales objectives

* Leverage the sales support team in providing case design, illustration, and training support to Financial Professionals of M and to select Financial Advisors

* Respond to technical product and competitive positioning questions as appropriate.

* Develop and maintain productive relationships with M Financial Professionals, Financial Advisors, Strategic Partner teams and Management

* Develop and maintain productive relationships with M Financial Professionals, M Insurance Solutions and Sales Support Team. Work cooperatively with Underwriting, Case Management, and Advanced Case Design teams

* Act as a liaison between M Financial Professionals and Case Management teams to help ensure timely processing and strong communication

* Articulate the life insurance application process in a clear, concise, and accurate manner to maintain Financial Advisor and Client expectations

* Assure compliance with NASD and insurance department rules and regulations. Maintain appropriate licenses

* Proactively drive sales and marketing campaigns in the region at the direction of the M Financial Professional and sales management

* Maintain high level of activity and reporting as required

**Attributes:**

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Microsoft Office Suite Experience; Excel, Powerpoint, Word

* Experience with CRM Systems

* Minimum 5+ years of experience within financial services

* Experience in working with financial advisors in a consultative way

* Excellent relationship building skills; to include written and oral communication

* Self-driven independent worker with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

* Life, Health, Variable life insurance licensing

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelors Degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field

* Minimum five years of experience with life insurance products and business development

* Record of successful partnering with a group of sales and operations professionals.

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Multiple carrier insurance product experience and strong decision-making skills

* Exceptional time management skills and detail oriented

**Job Conditions and Environment:**

* Normal office environment/desk assignment

* Extensive use of PCs, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse

* Extensive close work with documents, publications, databases, and spreadsheets

* Very limited travel
