Night Shift Assembly Technician - Full Time - Easley (SC), United States
Join our FE_WIBU team within Flow Equipment division in United States as Night Shift Assembly Technician to help us to the next level.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Builds process pumps according to the bill of materials and work instructions
- Performs hydrostatic tests and pump performance tests according to the work instructions
- Paints pumps and spare parts according to the order and work instructions
- Performs all the in-process quality inspections as described in the quality plans and work instructions
- Follows quality procedures according to ISO 9001.
- Safety obligations:
- All employees understand and are able to explain the structure and objectives of the SBP.
- All employees follow the safety rules.
- All employees have "the right and duty to intervene" in the event a safety concern becomes evident. In addition, acceptance of an intervention should be accepted in a positive manner as it could have prevented an accident.
- All employees are required to comply with all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety, including but not limited to proper use of required PPE at all times.
Secondary Responsibilities: - Participates in 5S and housekeeping assignments
- Takes part in the Preventive Maintenance program
- Assists other team members as directed, including training and assisting less experienced coworkers
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:What you bring to Sulzer: - High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to work in both English and Metric dimensioning
- Must have good people skills and the ability to solve problems in a team environment
Physical Requirements: - Must be able to lift 50 lbs (excess of 50 lbs, use of slings, hoist or cranes required)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (up to 12hrs)
- Must be able to don required PPE for all operations included in the scope of this job including painting (some protective equipment may present problems for persons with claustrophobia or asthma)
