PROMAN Staffing has partnered with our Global Manufacturing client, in Eatontown, NJ to source and hire a HANDS-ON Maintenance Supervisor for their state of the art facility.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and maintaining the overall building and grounds maintenance (75%) as well as the production equipment (25%). This role will oversee the preventative maintenance of all activities and production operations. Maintain compliance with all procedures, policies, and regulations and ensure timely response to regulatory issues and inspection findings. Incumbent must have strong leadership skills and able to work with minimum supervision. Our client is an ISO 9001 certified company. This role is responsible for learning, understanding, and demonstrating ISO 9001 standards through daily work activities.
Maintenance Supervisor Skills and Experience:
3-5 years experience in facilities management and maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and control systems troubleshooting
Knowledge of Lock out/Tag out process and ability to implement program and train others
Ability to coordinate maintenance and service contracts
Proficiency with facilities management software (CMMS)
Practical hands-on experience repairing electric and mechanical equipment
Experience in manufacturing preferred
Proficiency and certification with HVAC
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective time and project management abilities
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Maintenance Supervisor Job Functions:
Planning, scheduling, and executing reactive and preventive maintenance tasks for production equipment using CMMS; practical experience with HIPPO preferred.
Complete hands-on maintenance work and troubleshooting of production equipment including root cause analysis for tooling, stocking, and parts machining
Inspect, record, and address abnormal building and property conditions
Proficient in analyzing maintenance needs, scheduling tasks effectively, and ensuring the upkeep of systems through proper assignment allocation.
Ensuring alignment of maintenance and facility activities with specifications and regulatory requirements
Collaboration between production and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
Negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing corrective maintenance
Organizing inventory of spare parts, purchasing supplies, equipment, and services for production equipment and the facility
Supervising maintenance staff, addressing performance/behavior issues, managing schedules, and conducting performance reviews
Adhering to ISO 9001, 5S, and Lean manufacturing procedures to promote cleanliness, order, and efficiency
Reporting maintenance metrics and data to the Plant Manager regularly
Participating in A3 activities with the Plant Manager to achieve established goals
Fulfilling any other duties as assigned by management
Physical/Environmental:
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to waist height.
Standing all day (90% of shift) with ability to move about the manufacturing area
Manual dexterity
Hand eye coordination
Manufacturing Environment, inclusive of wide temperature swings
