Job Summary:This position reports to the Controller and will assist with day-to-day accounting analysis. They will also be responsible for maintenance of the general ledger, reviewing monthly journal entries, preparing monthly account reconciliations, abiding by current US GAAP, and attending meetings as required. Keeping records and accounts accurate and current. Researching and resolving discrepancies and accounting errors. Completing related reports, summaries, and records. Performing related clerical duties.
Job Description:- Leadership with complete and accurate day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger.
- Reviewing monthly journal entries and supporting schedules as part of the month end close process.
- Assuming responsibility for deadlines established by Corporate.
- Preparing monthly account reconciliations including research and resolution of all reconciling items.
- Ensuring that accounting processes abide by current US GAAP.
- Driving process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and proposing viable solutions and participating in other projects as identified by the Controllership Organization.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley requirements for assistance with maintaining a robust internal control environment.
- Other accounting duties as the need arises.
- Attends meetings as required (both virtually and/or in-person as required). Examples include mandatory internal meetings as needed and required, as often as monthly or quarterly, in-person meetings with clients, conferences, events, seminars, etc.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
- Experience with full cycle general accounting process is preferred.
- Revenue Recognition.
- Fixed Assets analysis and roll forward.
- Accounts analysis and reconciliation.
- Balance sheet accounts analysis and reconciliation
- 4 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with major ERPs.
- Detail and results oriented.
- Willingness to put forth the effort required to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with ability to think analytically.
We are seeking applicants that can work remotely and live in AL, AR, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, VA, TX, VT, WI, WV that will allow them to travel easily to client sites and company meetings. Must be able to work 8:30am-5:30pm EST.
