Position Summary

Manages the operational, financial and personnel activities of the Sales Department. Additional duties may be assigned based on the needs of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all salespeople.

Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.

Establishes annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profit.

Monitors salesperson productivity and performance.

Orders/acquires new- and used-vehicle inventory.

Administers and monitors factory-sponsored programs.

Displays, merchandises and promotes new- and used-vehicles.

Reviews market analyses and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential, and develops sales campaigns to accommodate the goals of the dealership.

Serves as liaison between sales department and other departments.

Analyzes and controls expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

Schedules and plans New Owner Clinics as a follow-up to the delivery process.

Maintains a professional appearance.

Attends Manager's meetings.

Maintains a cooperative manner with other employees

Perception is everything, always be professional

Be on time, 15 minutes before business hours starts.

Make sure all employees clock in and out.

Sell 100-125 total used vehicles with over $500,000 variable gross profit.

Have daily plan every week and every month.

Hire, train, enforce company, state and federal mandates with all sales people.

Enforce follow up of all customer leads on the CRM by every salesperson.

Control and manage inventory on the ground that is retail ready and professionally displayed on the lot with all federal consumer disclosures attached.

Make sure all vehicles on the lot have stock tags and demo state issued temporary tags.

All vehicles on the lot must be photographed.

Inspect daily upon arrival all inventory for potential crime committed overnight.

Make sure Eddie e's 6 p's of success are followed daily.

Control all keys by enforcing that no keys are allowed anywhere but in the keytrack machine.

Keep the building, lot, bathrooms and showroom clean.

Enforce dress code by all employees.

Enforce closing procedures by both managers. There must be two employees closing at all times. No exception.

Always protect the galles brand first and foremost.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such actions.

This is a safety sensitive position that may require driving for company business, so the individual must be insurable through the MVD.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 5 years previous related experience with 3 years in a supervisory capacity is required. A current valid NM Driver's License and a clean driving record is required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and use a computer. The employee frequently is required to talk, hear and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Primarily works indoors but may have some exposure to outside elements at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a computer monitor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to car fumes and loud noises from vehicle motors.
