Title: Desktop Support Specialist 4

Pay: $30.50/hour - $36.50/hour, depending on experience

Location: San Diego, CA

Type: Contract (12-month)


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end management of procurement activities for the AMR Region within GIS End User Services, including purchasing, receipt of goods, invoicing, and payment, while ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
  • Utilize proficiency in ServiceNow to facilitate operational metric reporting.
  • Manage the lifecycle of all IT assets within GIS End User Services, including Computers, Mobile Devices, and Peripherals, ensuring optimal stock levels based on demand and supply chain lead times.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong vendor relationships, conducting regular operational reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits of internal asset management systems.
  • Provide strategic input into regional inventory management.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, asset lifecycle management, and inventory control systems.
  • Collaborate with the global EUS team and GIS End User Computing function to maintain regional hardware standards.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in Supplier Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
  • Proficiency in creating, documenting, and improving process lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple departments and organizations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in ITIL, Service Management, or CMDB is preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Advocate for change and continual iterative improvement.


Preferred Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in procurement and asset management.
  • Experience working within an IT organization.
