* We are currently looking for an inspired and well-qualified Preschool Cook/Chef
THE POSITION
* Able to prepare nutritious meals appropriate for 90-100 preschool children
* Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and production sheets including breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
* Makes any necessary menu changes or substitutions, reports and records such changes as directed
* Prepare and serve meals that are timely, palatable, and appetizing in appearance
* Assure that kitchen and food storage areas are clean and properly arranged at all times
* Knowledge of Food Handling Rules & Regulations
* Handle food in accordance with sanitary procedures and standard
* Work cooperatively with Center Director and Food Service Coordinator
* Assist with children when needed and Sub in the classrooms in the afternoon if needed.
In addition to cooking meals, you would also be responsible for the general cleaning tasks of the center. These tasks are including (but not limited to). Snack/meal clean up, sweeping, moping, light laundry, deep cleaning kitchen when needed, maintaining a clean kitchen, taking out the trash. M* ust be able to stay later once a week to put Sysco order away, order Sysco and maintain inventory of food and supplies.*

* Must be Food Safety certified or will obtain

* ?Be able to stay on your feet for long periods of time

Required Skills
* High school diploma or GED
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Outstanding organizational abilities
* Must be at least 18 years old
* Safe Serv certified preferred if not would be willing obtain certification.
