JOB TITLE: Pre-Service Representative

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Pre-Service Representatives perform general business office functions that may include some or all of the following:

  • Insurance verification and eligibility
  • Insurance pre-authorization/pre-certifications
  • Counseling patients and families on insurance and payment issues prior to surgery
  • Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained from patients and entered into the billing system in an accurate and timely manner
  • Confirms and revises all patient payer information
  • Accurately documents all necessary data points for personal injury cases

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree a plus.
  • Two years minimum front office experience in a medical environment.
