Title: Business Development Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Lead who is looking to expand their career and who brings on-the-job experience in civil, coastal, structural and/or marine engineering to lead our growing Pensacola, FL office. As a visionary leader, you will help guide our company s strategic direction while leveraging our technical background to complete projects. Your ability to bridge engineering principles with a business understanding will be instrumental in achieving the company goals.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to foster a positive client experience throughout the project delivery.
  • Comfortable developing projects with architects, other engineering firms, contractors, and industrial, port, government, and private clients.
  • Collaboration and coordination with AMI leadership and managers on project pursuits and technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Apply your engineering expertise to assess project feasibility, design, and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental considerations.
  • Identify potential markets/clients based on engineering insights.
  • Foster strategic partnerships to contribute to business growth and expansion.
  • Ability to manage and mentor technical and professional staff.
  • Prepare proposals and estimates for engineering services. Work closely with department managers in preparing simple to complex proposal packages.
  • Project oversight, management and field visits for projects as needed to support the local engineering presence.
  • QA/QC of all engineering documents for accuracy, presentation, and quality to ensure a successful project.
  • Assist in developing and recruiting additional staff as the office grows to fill open positions with HR staff.


Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Bachelor s degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • 8+ years experience in civil, coastal, structural, and/or marine engineering.
  • Must have business development and engineering experience working in the panhandle and gulf region area.
  • Competent in design of structural steel, concrete, wood, and precast systems and components.
  • Strong organization and team management skills
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, self-starter and results-oriented
  • Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Florida
  • Proven leadership experience.


Compensation:
