State Tested Nursing Assistant
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as catheter care and sterile processing
- Administer basic life support and perform airway management as needed
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Assist with end-of-life care and provide support to patients in hospice care
Skills:
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Knowledgeable in catheter care procedures
- Experienced in airway management and basic life support techniques
- Familiar with sterile processing techniques and infection control protocols
- Skilled in providing acute care to patients with various medical conditions
- Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals
- Capable of phlebotomizing patients for blood samples when necessary
