We are seeking a skilled machinist/programmer with experience in Mazatrol CNC Lathe operation and CAD/CAM software.
Essential Functions:
* Efficiently setting up and operating multiple CNC lathes simultaneously.
* Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding.
* Performs routine dimensional and visual inspection of product per procedure, specification or print using basic measuring equipment (calipers, micrometer, scales, indicators, and SPC equipment).
* Solves tooling issues by identifying productivity of tooling, evaluating tooling performance, and evaluating new tooling requirements. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor or management.
* Programming machines with the use of CAD/CAM software including but not limited to; Haas and Mazak Lathes, Tsugami Swiss lathe, Multi Spindle/Multi Turret lathes.
* Compliance and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
* Communicate with other team members regardless of department or shift in order to complete job assignments
* Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.
* Maintains safety practices related to machining as required; (wear protective clothing, eye glasses, gloves, and steel toe shoes as required).
* Willingness to work overtime, when necessary
* Assist in other work areas and all other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Requires ability to listen, follow directions, and a minimum of 3 years of programming and/or operating experience.
* Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing (basic oral instructions, simple written memos and instructions.)
* Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
* High school diploma required. Graduation from a technical school, preferred
* Prior use of Cam Software preferred
* Prior operation of Swiss style lathe preferred.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally handle objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
* Proficiency in standing and walking for extended periods on concrete or hard surfaces.
* Capability to perform repetitive tasks with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
* Flexibility to bend, stoop, and kneel as necessary to access workstations and perform tasks.
* Willingness to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
* Competence in operating manufacturing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
* Tolerance for working in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
* Adherence to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
