Tigua Inc., focusing on delivering exceptional and innovative solutions for complex challenges is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Special Security Officer (SSO).


The selected candidate will ensure the effective management and protection of sensitive and classified information. This critical role involves overseeing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with security regulations, and safeguarding classified materials against unauthorized access or disclosure. The SSO should have a solid foundation in at least one security discipline (Physical, Information, Personnel, Cyber, Industrial, and Operational) and a strong motivation to excel in all areas. The role demands a collaborative work ethic, quick response to urgent situations, a drive for ongoing programmatic security enhancement, and adaptability to both common and uncommon security requirements.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:


  • Three (3) Five (5) years related experience with SCI Security
  • Bachelor's degree in security management or relevant degree; will consider an equivalent of work experience in lieu of education.
  • Security Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of SCI security, particularly in personnel, physical, information, and basic information assurance.
  • Autonomous Operator: Proficiency in independently navigating operational environments, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of security principles, risk evaluation, mitigation strategies, and procedural dissemination.
  • Regulatory Mastery: Thorough grasp of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 704, ICD 705, DoDM 5105.21 (V1 thru V3), along with familiarity with DNI and DIA directives and regulations.
  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to meticulously gather facts, employ effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, and formulate sound decisions to resolve diverse security challenges.
  • Adaptability: Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD, military/civilian personnel, and industry partners.
  • Proficiency in Office Tools: Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Additional Qualifications:
  • Certification Credentials: Successful completion of formal FSO certification training and a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) physical security course within the past five (5) years
