We are looking for a Full-time Veterinary Technician to support our goal of creating healthier lives for our patients and their families. At Hanover Veterinary Clinic, our technicians work closely with our veterinarians. As an experienced veterinary technician,you already know what it takes to be a successful veterinary professional. The ideal candidate will be confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, be able to place IV catheters, able to do blood draws and run in-house bloodwork utilizing Idexx equipment, understand the importance of client education, and is a positive and supportive team player. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and Hanover Veterinary Clinicencourages its staff to do the same. Requirements:
- 2 + years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Knowledge of vaccines and administering them
- Experience in dispensing and administering medication
- Able to obtain a complete patient history and maintain medical records
- Pharmacology calculations and surgical experience (prep, monitor, recovery, etc)
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Positive team player willing to continue to learn
