Litigation Secretary


Job Details

Midsized firm in SF seeks a litigation secretary with a strong litigation background (preferably in commercial litigation) and trial experience. This person must know how to e-file documents in state and federal courts.



Duties:

  • Draft, format and finalize pleadings, memos, and discovery.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain attorney calendars; schedule and coordinate meetings. and conferences, including extensive travel, lodging, transportation, and meal arrangements.
  • Input attorney time as needed utilizing the Firm s time entry software daily.
  • Interact with clients, vendors, attorneys, and staff to maintain good relations.
  • Coordinate with records and conflicts departments to open and close matters.
  • Reconcile and submit travel, client development, and client expenses for reimbursement through Chrome River and reconcile AMEX statements for all assignments.
  • Other projects as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • At least five years of strong litigation experience
  • Must have experience attending trials with attorneys including setting up war rooms, coordinating with local vendors, and other onsite tasks
  • Advanced computer and software application skills. Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Proficiency with e-filing in federal and state courts
  • Experience generating TOCs/TOAs
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
