Job Details
We are looking for Material Handlers with various shifts available to compliment our client's team in Smithfield, NC. The Material Handler will be responsible to transporting supplies and products throughout the facility. The Material Handler will be picking, packing, and loading products for shipment as well as maintaining documentation of shipments. We are looking for individuals with experience as a Material Handler or related position who have a great work ethic and positive attitude.
Perks of the Position:
- Performance based pay increases after 30 days and after 60 days
- Shift differential if on 3rd shift
- Monday to Thursday schedule
- Off 4 days a week & off on weekends
- OT available at times
Responsibilities:
-Accurately pick, pack, and load products for shipment
-Perform all tasks safely and efficiently
-Accurately documents shipment freight characteristics and complete forms
-Adhere to process while performing tasks
-Unload trailers in a safe and efficient manner
-Process packages through parcel shipping carrier systems
-Perform audits and verify shipping accuracy to maintain highest level of customer satisfaction
-Maintain accurate inventory and consolidate as needed
-Utilize Kanban systems
-Utilize electronic shipping equipment (scan guns, strapping machines, etc.)
-Other duties as assigned
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
