**Assistant General Manager**
**Department:** GM **Location:** Capitol Heights, MD
50Floor, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, customer driven Assistant General Manager (AGM). The AGM will assist and support the General Manager in overall management of all aspects of the branch location, including sales, daily operations, installation coordination, and customer service. A primary responsibility of this role will be to drive sales and positively impact in home sales performance. Successful candidates must be able to effectively articulate sales strategy as well as plan and conduct motivational and educational weekly sales training classes on-site to groups and one-on-one training in the field.
The perfect fit for this role will have experience managing sales, employees and Independent Contractors. Skills and experience effectively leading, managing, and motivating others imperative to candidate success in this role.
**Responsibilities:**
* Supports all branch operation including sales management, production, quality, service, and profitability.
* Manages staff through the employment life-cycle, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching, supervising work, etc.
* Leads weekly educational sales meetings to drive sales performance and ensure representatives knowledge base.
* Performs on-site and in the field sales training classes focused on conveying sales strategy, company philosophy, and organizational procedures.
* Assists in on-boarding sales contractors and flooring installation candidates.
* Addresses and resolves escalated customer issues to ensure timely, satisfactory settlement.
* Fills in or assists office staff in multiple roles during planned or unplanned time off, high-volume periods, etc.

* Must be able to effectively articulate and train sales strategy to groups.
**Requirements:**
* 4+ years of related experience including experience managing and driving sales, leading teams, and managing staff.
* In-home sales experience is preferred.
* Experience within the home improvement industry is preferred but not required.
* Familiarity with diverse flooring products and installation process (hardwood, carpet, tile, laminate, etc.) is a plus.
* BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
* Must possess a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
* Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
* Schedule: Monday through Friday, starting at 7am or earlier, and alternating Saturdays with flexibility to take after hours calls.
* Travel: (25-50% of the time) within 75-mile radius as needed.
* Physical requirements: Constant sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and hand/finger dexterity, talking, listening; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs., using ladder to climb, squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting; vision: near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception needed.
