Miracle Mile Advisors ( MMA ) is searching for qualified candidates to join our Investment Team as a Research Analyst, supporting advisory teams. Successful candidates for this position will have a demonstrated track record of educational and professional achievement, high attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
- The research analyst position will work from our Los Angeles, Bay Area, or Chicago office.
- Develop expertise in assigned industries through independent and third-party industry research and targeted company research including analysis of public company filings.This includes analysis of ETFs and individual public companies.
- Develop and maintain primary research reports including analysis of financial perfo rmance, competitive industry positioning, forward estimates, and other relevant factors.
- Create financial models for revenue, income, and cash flow and update quarterly balance sheets and cash flow statements with publicly available data.
- Prepare company reports that summarize research findings and present ideas to the Investment Strategy Group.
- Meet with company management teams, industry/sell-side analysts, and other third-party research providers. Document and maintain meeting notes.
- Run and analyze performance, attribution, and risk reports and share analysis with the Investment Strategy Group.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree required.
- Progress toward or interest in pursuing CFA designation.
- 2-8 years of work experience in investment research, investment banking, or strategic/management consulting.
- Knowledge of investment concepts, valuations methods, and ability to build detailed financial models.
- Ability to work independently but also work within a team structure. Must be able to deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication.
- Data mining, coding, or ability to work in Bloomberg or other financial software tools preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft products required.
- Most importantly, candidate must be passionate about markets, investing, learnings about different industries and companies, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
