**POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTION**

The Business Development Sales Associate is responsible for generating business to business leads for the Lake Forest Center for Leadership Sales team and the Degree Programs Admissions team. The role requires an ability to focus on organizations that are currently seeking talent development solutions as well as organizations within our target student market. Outstanding relationship-building skills and an ability to identify possible sales leads are required. Key activities include creating and implementing target account strategy by region, business sector, company, or personnel to lead to new account generation opportunities for the sales team to then follow up on. Understanding complex business concepts and critical leadership attributes are required to determine if leads are viable for the Center for Leadership. An entrepreneurial growth mindset and creative problem-solving skills are needed to support the continued expansion of client services at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management (LFGSM). Use ZoomInfo, Salesforce, and Pardot to identify and prioritize leads. Seek out key relationships within organizations to promote all offerings within the LFGSM enterprise, including corporate training, executive education, and degree programs. Finally, the ability to present and represent the Center for Leadership brand in lead generation calls and reach-out activities is a minimum expectation of the role.

Key target accounts for this role will be based nationally across the United States and/or globally.

*****This position is primarily a remote role, but preferred candidates would be local to the Chicagoland area.*****

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Lead Generation**

* Prospecting for high-value client engagements

* Able to use performance consulting skills to diagnose client needs and relay possible educational solutions with business impact to a C4L Sales Team Member

* Proactively and effectively collaborates with the Center for Leadership Sales Team Leader and Sales Team members to convey lead opportunities

* Use technology resources to prioritize, track and report on lead generation

* Utilizes value-based pricing to establish the Center for Leadership as a high value, differentiated brand when appropriate

* Builds warm, trust-based relationships with potential clients in a short period of time

**B2B Marketing and Networking**

* Leverages partnerships, faculty, ambassadors, and external relationships to be sources of leads and additions to LFGSMs learning community

* Seeks out opportunities to promote the LFGSM through complimentary Business Learning Sessions, including the degree programs to generate B2C leads for the MBA

* Builds relationships within Employee Resource Groups and create opportunities to promote LFGSM

* Consistently focuses on networking strategy that includes membership, sponsorships, and speaking opportunities when applicable

**QUALIFICATIONS**

* 5+ years of Sales experience, preferably in talent consulting, B2B sales, telemarketing/inside sales, and booking introductions

* Business development and lead generation skills are essential

* Ability to use technology to inform decisions, streamline processes, organize/track workflow, and report results

* Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Zoominfo, or similar technology is a plus

* A passion for helping leaders excel and improving business outcomes

* Capability and experience in working with mid-level and senior executives from major corporations

* Knowledge and relationships within Human Resources, Learning and Development, and Organizational Development preferred

* Demonstrable success leveraging consultative sales methods and practices

* Knowledge and experience in working with a variety of industries, or ability to quickly assimilate information about diverse industries and business models

* Proven track record of sales in the professional services industry
