Role and Responsibilities:
As an Industrial Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the plant electrical systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planned and Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled electrical maintenance tasks to keep our equipment in optimal condition.
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment.
- System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems, motor controls, AC/DC drives, and medium voltage switch gears.
- Blueprints and Schematics: Read and interpret equipment drawings, PIDs, one-line diagrams, and schematics.
- Diagnosis and Repair: Effectively diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems and components.
- Reliability and Optimization: Improve equipment reliability and optimize resources.
- Record Keeping: Maintain logs and records of labor, materials, and equipment usage.
- Electrical Test Equipment: Proficiently use electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters, ammeters, meggers, and instrument loop calibrators.
- Variable Frequency Drives: Install and set up variable frequency drives.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, focused improvement, and 5S projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all workers adhere to local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and education:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Electronics Technician Degree or Electrical License: Either an Electronics Technician Community College Degree or a Licensed Journeyman Electrical License.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrician experience, including one year of in-plant manufacturing experience.
- Problem Solving: Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem-solving and decision-making skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process.
- Safety: Must maintain compliance with all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Working at Heights policies. OSHA 10 training and experience required.
- Drive and PLC Knowledge: Experience with variable speed drives, with Allen Bradley drive knowledge being a plus. Experience with PLC installation and troubleshooting, with Allen Bradley PLC knowledge being a plus.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to assist in all mechanical tasks, jobs, and repairs.
- Availability: Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, work in confined spaces, work outdoors, perform rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds.
