Our client, a leading insurance organization in Columbia, SC, is seeking a talented Sr. IT Project Manager with 5+ years of IT project management experience, with IT SDLC experience, leading multiple concurrent project teams.
*This is a hybrid role located in Columbia SC, working onsite in office three days a week and remote 2 days a week.
*W2 long term contract, must have work status to be employed directly (Green Card, US Citizen, EAD).
What you will do in this role:
- Lead several projects (one to five) in a strong matrix environment executing Software Development Lifecycle methodologies.
- Developing and monitoring project plans, communication plans, risk management plans, and project artifacts from project initiation to post implementation/closure.
- Ensures project deliverables are complete on time, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with organization's standards
- Responsible daily for the development, execution, and maintenance of project plans and project communications, facilitating effective communications between all parties involved in the project, including meetings, correspondence/recaps, status reports and other project artifacts per organization's standards.
- Monitors resource requirements and assigned deliverables based on project specifications. Ensures resources are assigned to meet project objectives while managing project hours budgeted.
- Identifies and manages tasks and issues that impact the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort to ensure delivery as planned.
- Provides both written and verbal project status updates upon request.
Education/Experience required:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree or extra years of work related experience.
- 5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity on one or more project teams.
- 2+ years experience leading two or more concurrent project teams
- Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint Online, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Teams)
