This Allentown based manufacturing firm is a leading firm in the Lehigh Valley. They are looking for a Controller to join the Accounting team.

*Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):*
* Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans for the business unit.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, including investment decisions, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
*
*Financial Reporting:*
* Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
* Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and board of directors meetings.
*
*Internal Controls and Compliance:*
* Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate internal and external audits, providing support and documentation as needed.
*
*Team Leadership and Development:*
* Supervise and mentor a team of 25 finance professionals, including financial analysts, accountants, and support staff.
* Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

*Business Partnership:*
* Partner with business unit leaders to understand operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and procurement, to drive business results and achieve financial targets.

*Risk Management:*
* Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, proactively addressing any deviations from targets.
*Profile*
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
* Prior experience in the manufacturing industry or related sectors strongly preferred.
* Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
* Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
