Responsibilities

File, depose, mediate, and litigate pursuant to our core values and culture with minimal oversight
Represent clients in real estate disputes/litigation and business disputes
Take into account all legal aspects of clients' intended outcome and personal circumstances to provide sound legal advice to them
Work with city boards and agencies to obtain permits and avoid zoning legal issues
Draw up and review purchase and property management agreements, contracts, title abstracts, summaries, and commitments, probate and trust documents, leases, and financing statements, as appropriate
Complete thorough due diligence and inspect legal documents, title examination, and closing binder for legal risk, completion, and accuracy
Settle terms and conditions for real estate transactions, and facilitate the transfer of title between real estate agents, borrowers, and title company
Understand all legal aspects of the clients' desired outcome and circumstances to provide them with sound legal advice

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as civil litigation attorney handling depositions, mediations, and court and jury trials.
Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with proficiency
Prior real estate litigation experience required
CA Bar License in good standing required
Juris Doctor required
Three years of experience as corporate counsel for a real estate development firm, as a transactional attorney, or residential or commercial real estate attorney
Up to date knowledge of property management, business law, title insurance, land use, and residential and commercial real estate law, including litigation
Exceptional negotiation, research, networking, and communication skills are desired
Be a member of your local bar association and hold a current law license in the state
