We are looking for a well rounded Millwright to join our rapidly growing team. Our organization prides itself on being an independently owned service and repair company resolving injection molding machine needs for customers throughout the country.
Someone that is a hands-on problem solver who has both mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, & electrical aptitude with experience setting up industrial machinery/equipment in a manufacturing setting would make a perfect fit. If you have Millwright experience installing/troubleshooting/maintaining injection molding equipment it is a huge plus.
The schedule for this role will be flexible based on customers needs within business hours (Averaging 40-50hrs per week*). Some jobs will have you back home within the same day and some will require you to be on the road up to 1-2 weeks depending on the need. You will be compensated for travel time and provided with a company vehicle, lodging, tools, and a daily per diem so nothing will be coming out of pocket.
Wages are based on experience and range from $35-50/hour. 40 hours a week will be paid out regardless if worked or not (Hours are usually over 40*)
Responsibilities:
- Work involves a complete range and wide variety of duties involving diversified and difficult work using technical electronic diagnostics, computer equipment, and various precision instruments; requiring much care to effectively and efficiently diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, or otherwise work on general maintenance.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions by sight, sound, or actions of machinery and equipment.
- Start, observe, operate, or otherwise activate equipment to detect or verify the correction of malfunction.
- Inspect, adjust, clean, or lubricate equipment as preventive maintenance. Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment, parts, components, and accessories.
- Adjust mechanisms such as feed, speed, power input, or output.
- Operate various mechanical and electronic test equipment.
- Specific knowledge of pumps, conveyor systems, motors, and drives is required in the performance of regular or assigned duties.
- Remain current in technical changes or equipment designs by attending classes as needed.
- Work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as scheduled or required.
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and completing all required training.
Qualifications:
- Millwright to have rigging experience. Bull rigging experience is a plus.
- Minimum High School or GED required.
- Able to read mechanical drawings for fabrication and or assembly of equipment.
- Able to complete precise layouts for new equipment and or relocated equipment.
- Able to use all hand tools of trade as needed.
- Able to operate carry deck cranes, heavy industrial rigger forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and high-reach lulls.
- Millwright to have experience using heavy-duty machine rollers and toe-jacks.
- Experience using air bearings is a plus.
- Experience using calipers & micrometers for precise measurement of shafts and or mechanical assemblies.
- Pipe fitting experience of all types of pipework, e.g., screw, weld, copper, or glue joints.
- Welding experience that includes mig, tig, and stick welding experience a plus.
- Millwright to have experience with removal & installation of all bearing types.
- Ability to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.
- Millwright to have experience using oxyacetylene torch for flame cutting and heating steel.
- The ability to use auto-leveling surveying equipment is a plus.
- Ability to work in or out of town when needed.
