Polo Tennis & Fitness Club in Austin, Texas is searching for a Padel / Racquet Sports Professional! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality, highly detailed oriented and fast paced environment.

General Purpose:

The Racquet Sports Professional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, teaching lessons and clinics to ladies teams, private lessons and junior's players. Designs, plans and implements Tennis, Pickleball, and Padel programs to include special events and clinics. Requires evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties:

  • Supervises all racquet sports play and proper charging of fees, and rental of equipment.
  • Initiates, directs and promotes racquet sprots clinics, special events and programs in an effort to attract and maintain members' racquets interests.
  • Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels of players.
  • Implements and develops lesson programs for adults and juniors.
  • Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
  • Properly represents the club in state or national events as time will permit.
  • Ensures proper inspection of the courts/facilities on a daily basis prior to the start of play and ascertain that all necessary maintenance has been performed and the courts are in a safe working order. Reports any maintenance problems to the department manager or Maintenance Manager.
  • Assists with court maintenance and stringing duties if needed.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Available to work a full schedule year round, including weekends and holidays.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.


Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • USTA NetGeneration Certification is required as a condition of employment. Please go to to register for free.
  • Minimum 2-year experience required.
  • Experience teaching Tennis, Pickleball, and Padel lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.


Physical Demands:

  • Frequently stands, walks, uses hands; talks and hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
  • Occasionally sits.
  • Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.


Environment/Noise:

  • Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate.


Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings such as summer camp, instructional clinics and with children of all ages.
  • Possess U.S.T.A. rating of 4.0 or better.
