**Job Summary:**

This position will be responsible for total guest satisfaction from pre-arrival contact, logistics in the bookings and reconfirmation of guests' reservations, fully acquainted with local points of interests. This position will communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing to answer questions, and provide clear direction in advising and instructing guests in resort details with a focus on luxury service.

**Essential Job Functions:**

* Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, despite how busy or the time of day.

* Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of outlet operation, directions to local attractions and restaurants, meeting rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc. according to individual needs .

* Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.

* Implementing the flow of information to guests about hotel services, features and room amenities, alongside answering questions, giving directions and making detailed reservations or recommendations.

* Assist in maintaining database and binder of vendor information as well as current area information, weather and grooming reports, restaurant specials and event.

* Keep lobby area neat and replenish stock of printed materials including magazines, brochures and trail maps.

* Develop strong working relationships with other department managers and directors to ensure communication and teamwork is at an optimum.

* Performs any additional tasks or projects as required.

**Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent. -*required*

* Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently. -*required*

* At least 1 year of guest service experience. -*required*

* Concierge experience. -*preferred*

* Knowledge of the Vail Valley area and Vail Mountain. -*required*

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer. -*required*

* Ability to read and respond to complex correspondence. -*required*

* Ability to effectively present detailed information to guests and employees. -*required*

* Must be able to work weekends, evening and holidays. -*required*

* Flexible schedule required (Willing to work split shifts and willing to pick up extra shifts as needed). -*required*

* Able to speak and understand Spanish helpful. -*preferred*

* Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours at a time. -*required*

* In-person interview highly. -*preferred*

Vail Resorts Grooming Policy: Vail Hospitality's Grooming policy may be slightly more stringent due to our luxury brand.

The budgeted range starts at $18.50 - $20.00. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
