This position was created to support financial planning to the clients of the firm, which offers them guidance with life decisions and opportunities. Paraplanner serves as a knowledgeable in-house member of the team on basic financial planning issues, techniques, and applications. Applies the philosophy that financial planning is the desirable and preferred foundation for much of the investment portfolio work of the firm.


  • Direct and indirect service contact with clients as well as other professionals serving the client needs, to foster a positive long-term relationship between the client and the firm.
  • Co-performs the gathering and analysis of client needs, goals, and profile elements including resources, risk management, lifestyle, budget, tax planning, other holistic elements, etc.
  • Provides to clients education, explanation, and reporting on their financial planning activities.


Qualifications & Performance Readiness Sought:

  • A four-year college degree in a relevant field of study, with a minimum of 2 years relevant industry experience.
  • CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation
  • Thorough knowledge of these applications and any later required in the position: Financial planning software such as MoneyGuidePro / eMoney. Also, MS365 Outlook, Excel, Word, File Explorer, Powerpoint, Access, Publisher. Adobe Acrobat, web meeting applications, internet browsers, CRM applications. Also, familiarity with using data from portfolio accounting software such as Tamarac, SS&C/Advent Axys, etc.
