Job Title: Production Assembler 3
Location: Danville, KY
Duration: 6 Months Contract (Possible Extension)
Shift timings: 1st Shift

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor of client Danville, Kentucky Distribution Center. This position is responsible for day-to-day assembly of component pieces into aircraft wheels and brakes. With appropriate training the individual will be required to perform functional testing of finished assemblies and prepare product for shipping to customers.
This individual will also be responsible for participation in continuous improvement activities on a daily basis and on project teams.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for inspecting, cleaning and assembling aerospace components into final assembly and performing required testing necessary for final product acceptance. The individual will read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions and perform mechanical assembly processes.
Will obtain the proper work instructions for assigned jobs and will interact with production planning personnel as required.
Will be responsible for filling out documentation necessary to satisfy all MABS Kentucky government and customer requirements.
Will inspect product and complete documentation as necessary whether manual or through the use of computer transactions.
This individual must be able to operate hydraulic test equipment after appropriate training. Ability to use power hand tools and will operate auxiliary machine tools as required.
Responsible for working in a safe manner and observing all company procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety matters.
Individual will do some frequent heavy lifting. Will be required to walk throughout the workday. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work variable schedules and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications:
Skilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures.
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts.
Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.

Education: A secondary certificate/High School Diploma is required. Technical training beyond high school is preferred.

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

Years Experience:
A minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
The individual must be able to read and interpret blueprints and must possess the necessary mathematic skills associated with discreet part manufacturing.
They must be able to read product specifications and follow written work instructions.
